Under the able guidance of Dr  Savinder Pal ,Principal  Kamla Nehru College for Women Phagwara ,the department of history  celebrated Quit India Movement Day in continuation of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The day was observed with some activities like Poster making,declamation contest and poetical recitation. The best three entries  in poster making were  judged by Dr Sudhamani Sood. Ms  Neha BA sem.3 won the first position, Ms.  Prabhleen kaur of BA Sem1 got the  second position, Ms.  Jaspreet kaur and Ms  Shivani  won the third prize. Dr Savinder pal ,Principal addressed the students and told about  the significance of quit india movement in the freedom movement of nation. Ms. Kamlesh thanked  the principal and appreciated  the students for their  active participation.
