Hindi department of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara celebrated Hindi Divas on Sept.14, 2022 under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal. The department of Hindi celebrated the day with great fervour and invited the Principal Dr. Savinder Pal as the chief guest. She was given a warm floral welcome. After this the Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal, Dr. Asha Sharma, Head, department of Hindi, Dr. Ruminder Kaur, Head, department of Punjabi, Mrs. Aman Lata, Head, department of English and Mrs. Ritu, Assistant Prof.in Sanskrit gave away prizes to the prize winners of different competitions held on this  occasion.Shivani Pandey and Babita Kumari of Sem 1 shared first position in Essay writing competition. Pooja of Sem 5 got second position and Reema ,Amisha Bangar, Priyanka, Siya and Ritu were given consolation prizes. In story writing competition, komal Basra of Sem 3, Simran Mattu and Kashish of 10+1 and Gunwant Kaur go 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively. Poornima Kumari of Sem5, got First prize for Paragraph writing. And in News Reading competition Shivani Pandey,  Simran Mattu and Bandna bagged first, second and third position respectively. For the beautiful handwriting competition Poornima Kumar, Kamal, Reema of Sem 5, and Kadhish Mehra of 10+1 bagged first, second and third positions respectively. College Principal Dr. Savinder Pal addressed the students and said that Hindi Language was not only the National Language but it was a medium of communication in Business World also. Dr. Asha Sharma, Head, Department of Hindi said that it was the duty of all lovers of Hindi language to promote it.Madam Smita, Assistant Prof.in Hindi conducted the stage. Madam Principal congratulated the organisers of this function.
