The second day ,i.e, 25th December,2023 of the seven day NSS camp organised by Kamla Nehru College
for Women , Phagwara commenced with the worshipping of God followed by National
Anthem.Volunteers paid a visit to Chak Hakim village , an adopted village of NSS. The volunteers also
visited the Government Primary School,BR Ambedkar Dharamshala and Satguru Ravidass Park,Chak
Hakim.With the support of village Sarpanch, Kulwinder Kumar , volunteers also interacted with the
village people and informed them about the detrimental impacts on health and motivated them to lead a positive lifestyle. A cleanliness drive of the village streets and BR Ambedkar Dharamshala also took place. With an objective of creating awareness among the masses on Cancer Awareness and cleanliness , a rally was taken out by the volunteers. They educated the villagers about how we can protect
ourselves from hazardous diseases like cancer by just keeping our surroundings clean. They also awared
them about the new variant of the COVID 19. After returning back to the college, NSS volunteers painted
walls and trees of the college.They also cleaned the classrooms of the college campus. The second day
of the camp was full of fun and frolic as the students played kho-kho.
