Under the able guidance of Dr. SavinderPal ,Principal Kamla Nehru College for Women,Phagwara.Sh. Bhag Ram Handa library celebrated NATIONAL BOOK MONTH by organising various activities like Book Review Competition ,Open quiz,Poster Making Competition ,Honoring of the star of the month for library . More than 80 students participated in this event.  In the Book review competition the  first position went to  Vinny Banger (B.sc med-5 sem),second position holder was  Jaskaran Kaur (M.Com -3) sem),third position went to  Palak( B sc F.D 5 sem).In  the poster making competition the first prize was of  Anjali Kumari (B.Sc F.D -I),second prize went to Namisha B Sc (F.D-I)and third prize was of Gurman (B.Sc Med-I).In the honoring of the library star of the month Simran ,Harmanjit kaur,Sonia,Harleen kaur,Mandeep kaur,Manmeet kaur,Jaskaran kaur,Lovely,Zeba Parveen and two staff members Dr.Lalit kumar and Mr. Harwinder Chauhan were also honored.Principal SavinderPal told the students that books are like ornaments and real friends for us,they influence our thoughts and change our personality,they act as store of learning and thus enhance our creativity and vocabulary.Madam Principal  also lauded the efforts of  library committee members for organising this event and making it a success .
