Making the institution proud, eight NCC cadets of Kamla Nehru College for women, Phagwara participated in the Independence Day function held at Government College, Phagwara.On the occasion, cadets participated in the parade and cadets Jyoti Punia and Gurpreet Kaur were awarded best cadets. Besides, Jyoti was also given a certificate for participating in the Republic Day camp 2016 held at New Delhi. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Walia honoured both these NCC cadets on the achievement and wishes them all the best for their future. Earlier, as part of the environment week celebrations, various activities were organized by the department of political science of the college. The events included Group Discussion, a lecture on Environment delivered by Prof Navneet from Science department and a Lecture on Diet during Monsoon season. The students of the department celebrated Independence Day by singing patriotic songs and expressing their views through speeches and discussions.
