NSS unit and NCC wing celebrated ‘World Environment Day’ on 5 June 2024. ‘Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition’ was organised on the theme ‘Save Environment’. A rally was carried out
to spread awareness among masses about the protection of the environment by raising slogans ‘plant trees, save environment’. About 60 students participated in this event. Miss Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar also motivated the students to adopt eco-friendly practises that can be incorporated in everyday
life to stop environmental degradation and helps in preservation of nature and natural sources. The
college Principal, Dr. Savinder Pal urged the students to save trees, protect them and plant umpteen
trees. Moreover, taking active steps to preserve nature is the only way to save our mother Earth. She
also lauded the efforts of program officers , Miss Nidhi Jassal and Dr. Lalit Kumar and Dr. Palwinder,
NCC,CTO and exhorted them to organise more such events in future also.
