Republic Day Celebrations with Online Inter College Competitions at KNCW Phagwara

Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara in accordance with IQAC celebrated 73rd Republic Day. On this occasion, Department of Home Science and Fine Arts organised various Online Inter College Competitions under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal. These competitions included Rangoli Making, Tricoloured Recipe making, Poster making and Slogan writting on the theme of tri colours.
In Rangoli making competition, Muskan from Sri Sai College of Education, Badhani bagged first position, Nisha Kumari from KVA DAV College for Women, Karnal got second position and Kiranjeet Kaur from Sant Baba Bhag Singh Memorial Girls College, Moga got third position.
In Tri coloured Nutritious Recipe making competition, Janvi Rana, Alka and Nitya Saini from KVA DAV College for Women, Karnal baggad first, second and third position from KVA DAV College for Women, Karnal. Shakuntala Devi from MGN college of Education, Jalandhar got consolation prize.
In Poster making, Muskan Gupta and Ritika Mangotra of S S College of Education, Pathankot and S SM College, Dinna agar got first prize, Sakshi and Kajal Sumbria from S SM College, Dinnanagar and S S College of Education, Pathankot bagged second position. Among third position were Kamal Preet Kaur from Khalsa College, Amritsar and Vipul Sharma from Hans Raj College, Jammu. Jaspinder Kaur from Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar got consolation prize.
In Slogan writing competition Kiranjeet Kaur from SBBS M Girls college, Moga and Renu Kapoor from MGN College for Education, Jalandhar got first and second positions.
The students across different colleges participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Principal Dr. Savinder Pal commended both the departments and highlighted that such events will surely help the students for imbibing the feeling of patriotism for progressive Nation. She appreciated the efforts of HODs of both the departments, Dr. Sudhamini Sood and Dr. Priyanka Aeri for successfully indulging students in these celebrations.
