School Students Visit Kamla Nehru College for Women (KNCW)
On November 6, 2024, Kamla Nehru College for Women (KNCW), Phagwara, welcomed students from
Government Senior Secondary School, Mansurpur, for an engaging campus visit. Around 40 enthusiastic
students along with their teachers Ms. Amarjit and Ms. Rajwinder explored various departments,
including English, Punjabi, Hindi, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Commerce,
Political Science, Psychology, Economics, Cosmetology, Library, Music, Home Science, Fashion Designing, Heritage centre and Sports.
The visit began with a warm reception and orientation, after which students toured the facilities and engaged with faculty members. Dr. Rinka, Head of the Political Science Department, addressed the
group, offering insights into the diverse academic programs at KNCW. She also provided career
counseling, inspiring students to consider pathways that align with their interests and strengths. Dr.
Savinder Pal, College Principal, further motivated the students by emphasizing the value of higher
education at KNCW and the promising opportunities it could bring to their future careers. Refreshment
was also provided to the students.
The students expressed appreciation for the informative and inspiring visit, which offered them a
glimpse into college life and a deeper understanding of the academic and extracurricular resources
available at KNCW. The visit concluded with enthusiastic discussions, leaving the students encouraged to pursue their academic dreams at KNCW
