Economics Society (Department of Economics) organised “Slogan Writing Competition on Quality
Education and Poster Making Competition on Gender Equality” on 27 Sep, 2024 at 11.00 am. in
seminar hall. More than 70 students of the department participated in the competition. In these
competitions, students expressed their views about quality of education through slogans and by
making posters on gender equality. Department of Economics organised these competitions
under the supervision of Principal Dr. Savinder Pal and Vice- Principal Dr. Ruminder Kaur . Dr.
Sudhamani Sood, the judge of the event declared the result. Ishita Bhatti of B.A. (3rd sem) bagged
Ist position, Muskan of Bsc. Eco (Ist sem) got IInd position, Sapna of B.A. (5th sem) got 3rd position
and Anjali of Bsc Eco (Ist sem) got consolation prize in Slogan Writing Competition. Rukhsar of
B.Com. (Ist sem) and Haseena of B.A. (5th sem) bagged Ist position , Priya Kumari of B.Com.(3rd
sem), Zeba Parveen of B.Com.(Ist sem) got IInd position, Komal of B.A. (3rd sem) and Anjali of
B.Com. 3rd sem got 3rd position, Amandeep kaur of Bsc. Eco – 5th sem, Jasmeen Saini of BBA. (3rd
sem) and Sapna of B.A. (5th sem) got consolation prizes in Poster Making Competition. Principal
Dr. Savinder Pal congratulated the students for their achievements and also motivated them to
make progress. She also appreciated the efforts of the faculty members of the department and
motivated them to organise such events in future.
