Science Department of Kamla Nehru College for Women, in collaboration with the Prof. Puran Singh Society and the Red Ribbon Club, inaugurated a two-day Science Conclave on February 27, 2025, in celebration of National Science Day on the theme: “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat”.

The conclave featured six engaging events: Mind Marathon, Argue Mate, Science and Spice, Cinematic Discoveries, Science in the Spotlight, and Invention Station Competition. Around 60 students participated in these events. Each event was designed to challenge participants and stimulate their interest in various scientific disciplines, encouraging them to think critically and innovatively. The events were judiciously judged by esteemed judges, Mr. Sushil Kumar, Ms.Monika, and Ms. Preeti Markanda.

On the second day, i.e. February 28, 2025, the final round of the Mind Marathon competition was done, which showcased the exceptional intellect and creativity of the participants. Following the final round, a prize distribution ceremony was held, recognizing the outstanding achievements of the participants. Awards were presented to the winners, celebrating their hard work and dedication. Refreshments were also provided at the end of the events.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Savinder Pal, the college Principal, extended her heartfelt congratulations to both students and faculty for their active participation and innovative contributions. She expressed her admiration for the students’ enthusiasm and commitment to scientific exploration, stating, “It is inspiring to see our youth engage so passionately in science. Events like these not only enhance their learning experience but also nurture their potential to become future leaders in the field.”
