Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of Kamla Nehru College for Women, the Department of Science organized a workshop in Mathematics on March 04, 2025 on the topic of ‘Caculus Laboratory’. Dr. Gagandeep, Associate Professor and Head in Mathematics at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, graced the event as the resource person. She explained various commands to solve the mathematical problems using SCILAB and imparted practical knowledge to students. She explained plotting of graphs of elementary functions, polynomials, 2D and 3D graphs, tracing of conicoids, derivatives using software. Her insightful discourse enriched the knowledge of the around 50 students who participated in the workshop .

Dr. Savinder Pal, Principal of college congratulated both the students and faculty members of the Science Department for organizing such an enlightening event and expressed her appreciation for the invaluable contributions made by Dr. Gagandeep. She emphasized the importance of integrating technology with traditional learning methods, stating that workshops like these play a crucial role in enhancing students’ understanding of complex mathematical concepts.
